A Pool Enclosure Can Change Your Outlook

June 2, 2023 by Philip Kessler

Adjusting your chair helps a little, but the way the yards are bumped together, it doesn’t make a great lot of difference. You try not to sigh, but sitting by the pool always makes you wish you had added a pool enclosure to the list of amenities for your realtor. The entire family agrees without a doubt that the house is perfect!

The view from the backyard leaves a bit to be desired though. The neighbors are really nice and the kids all get along great! But they tend to keep a perpetual junk pile going. Eventually, it disappears, but then, the cycle begins again.

Pronto.

The sigh escapes you. You have certainly realized that your friends weren’t kidding when they told you to be sure and take off the rose-colored glasses when looking at homes to buy.

Privacy is #1

The element of privacy provided is the number one reason that homeowners give for installing a mesh screen pool enclosure. As a matter of fact, those who didn’t have been heard to proclaim they wish they had thought of that factor. They would have gotten the enclosure up sooner!

And, a growing number of homeowners are choosing to work with companies, like ours for instance, that customize the screens. Using digital imagery and dyes treated with ultraviolet (UV) protection, you’re ensured that your images remain vibrant for years to come.

We have to admit that the results are pretty amazing!

Imagine feeling as if you’ve stepped into your favorite vacation spot every time you head to the pool. By the time you finish adding your finishing touches… it’s bound to become the entire family’s new favorite place to hang out. Swimming or not!

Or, you could think about the places that you’d love to visit and run with that idea!

A wealth of benefits

Your family will enjoy a number of benefits when you install your pool enclosure.

They include:

  • A bug-free environment—The finely woven screen prevents bugs and mosquitoes from crashing the party. Night swims are going to be far more enjoyable!
  • Added UV protection—Granted, it’s not going to provide you with total shade, but we live in Florida! Every little bit helps!
  • Fight mold and mildew—Glass pool enclosures are notorious for providing the perfect environment for mold and mildew growth. Mesh screen enclosures eliminate that problem because they allow air to circulate freely 24/7. Every welcome breeze that wafts through is proof of that.
  • An element of safety—If you don’t want the kids or pets near the pool, simply lock the door.
  • Easy to maintain—Turn the kids loose with a bucket of soapy water and scrub brushes occasionally to clean away accumulated salt, dirt, and bits of debris. Done deal.
  • Added storm protection—Your pool area is going to stay a lot cleaner. Storms rolling through aren’t going to leave a mess behind for you to deal with… on the daily around here sometimes, yeah?
  • Property value increases—That may excite you more than anyone else, but it’s true so we wanted to bring it up. Of course, the actual amount depends on the size, structure, etc., etc.

Eye candy can be tempting…

Regarding the above neighbor scenario, though. If you have truly found yourself in that situation… and it happens more often than you’d think… installing a customized pool enclosure could work to your advantage in more ways than one.

Your family is going to love the new environment! And, you won’t be looking at anything but lovely when you’re out at the pool from then on! Moreover, considering all the benefits that are included—the thought of not regularly fighting off bugs and mosquitoes, for instance—the cost factor becomes less prominent. And, for the record, they are far more affordable than a glass enclosure. Don’t forget the mold and mildew issue. If you want to keep that under control, it’s best to install a ventilation system. That’s not cheap.

Your neighbors may decide to follow suit after admiring your new backyard getaway spot. If they don’t have a pool, the lanai is another place homeowners love to spend a quantity of quality time together when possible. That little bit of information could easily be paired with a backyard getaway kind of conversation.

Just sayin’.

So, let’s think about the possibilities if the neighbors do enclose their space. It could trigger a domino effect in that after hanging out in their little piece of paradise, they could easily become inspired to stretch the environment a bit farther into the yard. New landscaping, maybe? Eventually, the eye sore is overtaken and all’s well that ends well, friend!

Yeah, we keep a pair or two of rose-colored glasses around here too.

Oh, yes, we do.

Have a great summer!
