Pool Screen for Your Business?

August 18, 2022 by Philip Kessler

It might seem like an odd question to ask a business owner, but we wonder how many have considered using pool screen to advertise. Start-up costs for new business owners can wrack up pretty quickly and before you know it, your carefully planned budget is blown out of the water—especially right now!

Instead of purchasing expensive signage, displaying your company’s name and logo on a customized privacy screen could be made to fit over your large plate glass windows or over your entry doors. They’re attractive, have a long lifespan, and are likely less costly than traditional signage.

Made to last

Pool screen companies that are worth their salt use finely woven mesh screens that contain additional ultraviolet (UV) protection. For instance, we use Phifer screen because they’re the world’s largest supplier of woven pool screen materials. They’ve been in business since 1952 and all products are made here in the USA.

If you plan to take advantage of using pool screen to advertise your business, you need to find a company, like ours perhaps, that can customize your screens using digital imagery. The dyes used to reproduce your image or logo design are infused with additional UV protection to prevent fading. The colors remain vibrant for years to come.

Use pool screen to build your company

We mentioned the possibility of using customized screens to promote your business rather than purchasing neon or backlit signs that come with a hefty price tag. That’s true for any business owner.

However, there’s one industry that could really benefit by using customized pool screen as fencing. Contractors, especially those in the city, are often required to enclose their work area for safety’s sake. People, who are curious about what’s going on, may not be paying close attention to their immediate surroundings. If they’re able to wander on-site, they could be injured if they’re easily distracted—fencing prevents that from happening.

Lots of insurance companies require fencing around a job site. Some offer discounts to employers if they choose to use fencing in areas where it’s not required.

Using privacy screen as fencing enables you to display your logo, a “caution—work in progress” type of notification, or even a picture of what the end result will look like right on the fence itself. You won’t have to worry about attaching signage.

Moreover, people passing by won’t have the opportunity to rip up any notifications posted on the fence. However, if you don’t customize the screen with an image specific to a certain job, you could reuse it on other job sites. It’s going to be a lot less expensive than customizing the screen for one job alone.

More reasons pool screen works for fencing

If you aren’t dealing with a thriving concrete and asphalt environment, pool screen fencing prevents soil erosion.

And, we mentioned passersby being curious, but your work crew will stay more focused on the job rather than getting distracted as life unfolds around them too.

Neighboring businesses view fencing as a “good neighbor” gesture. Fencing sets a boundary for materials and equipment rather than letting items slowly encroach on surrounding properties.

Lastly, the seclusion creates a sense of anticipation within the community as it waits for the unveiling of the finished project.

Nailing it down

If you’re a business owner looking for an inexpensive way to promote your business, customized screening is an option to look into.

Contractors and construction companies may seem to have added benefits. That’s mainly due to the fact that they are using the screen material to enclose a large area. They keep debris—and materials and equipment—confined to a specific area, can be reused, and are cost-effective.

Because they block the work progress from being in clear view, a sense of anticipation builds within the community too. That’s a plus in its own right. People who live and work in the area will look forward to seeing the completed project. Not to mention the fact that the entire community has spent a specific amount of time staring at the name of the company or at least your brand—all the build-up could well lead to future jobs for your business.

You may wish you would have begun using customized pool screen as fencing a lot sooner! Don’t worry though, you’ll make up for the lost time. Even if that means hiring on another crew to keep up with the workflow.

Are we right?
